Mastering Videography DVD

Avitamarc Productions has produced an instructional DVD called Mastering Videography. This website offers a taste of how professional level videography is shot plus the occasional editing and graphics techniques but the DVD has practically everything you need to know to shoot video which truly looks professional. Those who are determined to learn to shoot proper video consistently or especially those who plan to make money with video are encouraged to purchase this DVD. It should pay for itself in your first paying gig. Trying to charge for shooting video when you don’t have the skill set or knowledge base is asking for client problems. If you really want to do it, do it right.

The DVD is over an hour and packed with information. What I put together is a concentrated package of everything a videographer NEEDS to know to properly shoot videos. I don’t waste any talk time or ultra long video clips to waste time to make a longer video. This is a ridiculous trend for instructional videos and 50-60 percent of most instructional videos is time filler. I pack in information It took me 16 years in the industry to learn.
Don’t expect to watch the video one time and be an expert. You’ll have to watch the video probably 10 times to get all this information to sink in. But to become an expert or professional videographer this is all the information you MUST know. Especially if you plan to make money with your video camera. Of all the wedding videography I’ve seen I would say less than 30 percent of the professional wedding videographers have all of these tools/skills. Imagine the advantage this could give you.

Module one - Principals of Photography:
These are basic photography principals and the backbone to shooting proper video.

Module two - Lighting
Gain, Contrast ratio, Reflectors, Three point lighting and much more.

Module three - Sound
Sound is 50 percent of your video. I can’t express enough how important it is.

Module four - Composing shots
Standard shots including Long shots, Medium shots and Close-ups and more plus how to compose them. Plus making shots more interesting using visual basics, Rule of thirds, more…

Module five - Continuity
From clean entrances/exits to transition to crossing the axis and cut-aways…

Module six - Camera techniques
Panning, tilting, tracking, booming, zooming. When, why and how to use them.

Module 7 - Sequences
Basically putting all you’ve learned together.

It seems like practically everyone has a video camera these days but few actually know how to use them properly. Lets master those camcorders by mastering videography.

Thanks for your interest and good luck
